Royals: 23-year old Colleyville Heritage HS grad Bobby Witt Jr. signs an 11-year, $288.7 million contract with the Kansas City Royals. The deal has a maximum value of $377.7 million.
Commanders: Dan Quinn was introduced as Washington Head Coach today & is hiring Kliff Kingsbury as OC & Cowboys PGC Joe Whitt Jr. as DC. Kingsbury spent last season as an analyst on USC staff. Clearly, Washington, with 2nd pick in draft, is hoping to trade up to #1 and bring USC QB Caleb Williams back home to DC.

Stars: 1st time All Star Jake Oettinger was the winning goaltender in a 7-4 win in Toronto for Team Matthews, which was led by its namesake Auston Matthews, the Toronto Maple Leaf star who scored 2 goals and was named MVP. The Stars open a 3-game road trip at Buffalo on Tuesday.
